Full-frame professional camera Pam uses.
We like this entry-level camera for lesser expensive options.
Canon’s entry-level RF-mount camera, the EOS R50.
The most budget-friendly option in their camera range.
TIP: You must have a tripod for long exposure and Milky Way. You also need a ND filter to get the Milky Water long exposure effect and can shoot at noon in bright sun if you have the darkest version ten stop. See our Waterfall Page for complete details or the Neutral Density Filters Explained article.
OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
See the selection of Canon lenses by clicking the link to the left and browsing through to see our recommendations. If you’re starting, these are our suggestions for the highest quality lenses:
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens should be your go-to choice. This lens offers a wide-angle perspective for landscapes and a touch of zoom. L lenses are the highest quality in the line.
Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens – We use this for all of our wildlife and our sports shooting.
Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM Lens – We use this lens for all our close-up and macro images.
If you are new to photography and need help, you can book a Zoom lesson on nights and weekends. We can discuss which lenses are best for you and your budget.

After a profound violation of trust— a descent into verbal abuse and emotional theft— we are removing all Amazon products from these pages. We choose to align with integrity, not extraction. We choose coherence, not commerce.
